Let's be honest, the underwear you wear on your wedding day is important, not just for sex appeal (although also important!) but because nobody wants a thong riding up their butt during the day because when is there a good time to pull out a wedgie on your wedding day? Am I right?

When to buy bridal underwear?

Our advice would be to first head to a wedding shop and try on every single style of dress until you find, at least in the ball-park, of the right style of dress that you like. A backless dress, strapless dress, corset dress, long-sleeve dress etc will all have different lingerie requirements so it's a good starting point to know what kind of dress you'd like to wear.
However, a lot of wedding shops will tell you that having your wedding lingerie for dress fittings can be super helpful to the fitting process. The bridal underwear can also help determine which dress you go for as it may create a more flattering figure for you in the dress.
But also, you don't have to be a 1-set lingerie pony. A lot of Brides opt to wear some comfies or spanx during the day and slip into something more sexy for the wedding evening.
So, when you have an idea of the dress ask yourself;
1) Does this dress even need a bra?
2) Does the dress need a particular type of bra?
3) Would I feel comfier with 2 sets of lingerie?
Some corset styles of dresses or other structured dresses don’t actually require a bra due to being fitted enough or the dresses have built in bras. Built in bras may also be a consideration for some dresses and be discussed with a seamstress.

Bridal underwear can be exciting all by itself, made from delicate laces, silks and satin and in lovely white fabrics that are usually reserved for your Wedding Day. With lots of choices like bralettes, bodysuits, spanx & balconette, brides can sometimes be overwhelmed with what to choose.
Rule of thumb; what's your go-to lingerie style? Something that you feel your best in... find that... but in white. Don't risk being uncomfortable or wires sticking in in wrong places. Stick with what you know!
