Our Favourite Wedding Dress Trends for 2022
Hannah Mitchell·June 21, 2021

Weddings are officially back ON... which means, the planning must recommence.
But, since weddings have been postponed for so long - what are the new fashion trends for brides? Don't worry, designers have still been hard at work to bring you beautiful, fresh designs and we've seen some gorgeous pieces coming from Bridal Designers.
So, sit back, pour yourself a glass of proseccy and see what's new;
Separates
The option of having separates instead of a wedding dress offers so many more opportunities for mixing and matching to ensure you find the perfect look! It is also possible to later incorporate them into your normal wardrobe so it feels like more of an investment. Detachable elements such as a bigger overskirt or a cape can also be added to take your outfit from day to night.

Statement sleeves
Big, bold sleeves are going to be very popular in wedding dresses. They can add volume and drama to an elegant dress. Puffed sleeves and the longer bishop sleeves especially can make a real statement and give off a relaxed boho vibe.

The rise of more intimate ceremonies and elopements has caused the short dress to really take off and the fashion-forward brides of 2021 have jumped at the chance to wear a flirty bridal gown. This gives the whole outfit a modern edge and allows you to also show off your beautiful shoes. Alternatively, you could opt for a long dress but have a more relaxed and fun short dress for your reception.

Off the shoulder
This beautiful neckline has such a romantic effect which ensures its popularity into the new season. It can work with both a fitted gown or a princess style one and would look beautiful in any fabric. Combining it with the popular gathered sleeves can create a dramatic and flattering final look and we are seeing some of the biggest names in bridalwear taking on this wedding trend for 2022

Colourful
White Dresses are so 2021 - Pastel florals are the perfect way to bring this new trend into your wedding dress. Floral inspired embroidery and ditsy prints can give your dress a unique edge whilst keeping a classical and romantic look.

Now you know what to look for, take that glass of proseccy to the Wedding Shop and find your perfect wedding dress to say I Do too!
